Day Trip to Gray Living

Since summer is nearing an end and I start back to work on Monday, Mom and I had been talking about taking a end of summer shopping trip to Dallas. Well, life got busy and we had decided to postpone until Labor Day....until we discovered Gray Living. I originally read about Gray Living when Sasha at House Dressing Style did a store spotlight. I sent the link to my mom and our plans quickly changed and we were on the road to McKinney bright and early Saturday morning!

I snapped some photos with my phone. You can see more and better ones at House Dressing Style or by following Gray Living on Facebook.

I fell in LOVE with this chair! I have had a slight obsession with this fabric lately and this chair was so comfortable. We are adding on to our house and I am going with a gray color scheme so I'm thinking I most definitely need it :)

After we left Gray Living we visited a lot of the other shops in the downtown square. It was such a quaint, cute little town square.

Another one of my favorite shops was Patina Green Home and Market. Patina Green has such neat finds plus they serve lunch.

I bought a rustic tin picture frame and such a rare find...an antique drill press that was used to build old barns. It seemed to be a good fit for the farmer :)

After our morning shopping adventure we stopped at Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers. We had heard good things and were very pleased with our choice. We had cheeseburgers and shoestring French fries that were great, but the best part was the frozen custard! My custard of choice was peanut butter and banana and oh my goodness, it was heavenly!

Before we headed home we made a stop at IKEA. It is such a fun store! We racked up on some fun goodies.

We had such a fun day plus girl getaways are always nice! And it doesn't hurt that I picked up some cute things while we were there :)

And to my friend Kim...I would have called, but it was last minute and we were more than "20 minutes away"! Next time we will come closer to you!

LOVE downtown McKinney, I always find at least one thing I absolutely cannot live without, it is super dangerous to live close to it! IKEA is only 10 minutes from my house. ;)
