I feel like I've been disconnected from the blog world because as it turns out our good ol' six year computer has bitten the dust. Well, not technically. It still works fine, but there is a short where the electrical adapter plugs into the computer...or so I think...I've done a self diagnosis. We've had our fair share of batteries and just purchased a new power cord and neither one seems to do the trick. You have to wiggle and wiggle to get the green charging light to come on and it only stays on for point five seconds before disappearing again. The farmer wasn't too much for getting a new one, but I frankly see no point in spending $100 over and over to buy replacement parts to spend just as much as we could get a new one for....so, I ordered one last week ;) Don't get me wrong, if the farmer hadn't just begun to farm I do believe he'd be far more interested so he could find new tractors or combines or browse rivals.com so he could check out the new football starts. Instead he sits on a tractor all day and crashes when he gets home with no thought of the world wide web. I on the other hand am quite addicted.
I pulled out the farmer's old laptop, but it takes a little less than an hour to load one webpage so that just wasn't going to work. And it's not wireless and hellllllo, why have a laptop if you can't use it on the couch? Pure laziness, ha! I've had to resort to doing a lot of blog stalking on a tiny little screen on my iphone, but I haven't really wanted to do the whole iphone blog posting business and I'm not even sure how.
So, I'm so anxious to get my new computer in my hands. I check the status on it daily even though I already know what it's going to say...expected arrival the beginning of May. I sure hope it doesn't take that long.
It's such a beautiful day outside. I went to Walmart and bought a cart for my water hose. We finally got a flower bed this week so that means I've got to water flowers. We seem to be having a drought at the moment. I can't let the farmer think I'm really going to let all those flowers die. Brea and I took Lily to the playground at the school today to run around...and we walked there...got a little exercise in today, but this week I've gotta get back on the couch to 5k bandwagon...as long as it's not 95 degrees outside.
Speaking of beautiful....my new front door wreath is beaaaaaautiful. Take a look for yourself.
Krista at The Gathering Place Design made it for me and I'm in love. Mom came across it one night while she was checking out Funky Junk's Saturday Night Special do it yourself-ers (I think that's where she found her??). I immediately fell in love, emailed Krista, and she had it to me within the week! I smile everytime I pull in my driveway and look at my front door. It's just so unique ;) I have searched and searched for a Spring wreath and had no such luck, but thank to Gathering Place the search is over. Check her out if you need a new wreath!
By the way, I'm watching the Academy of Country Music awards and may I say that it is so sad that the end of Brooks and Dunn is near.
I'm not good with change.
